- I have spent four out of the last five years in Iraq supporting Coalition Forces. During this time, I have come to appreciate the importance of Iraqi Arab Tribes in all aspects of Iraqi society. For this reason, I catalogued 82 main Iraqi Arab Tribes, including over 4500 sub-tribes, arranged hierarchically and alphabetically for ease of reference. This is called "The Iraqi Arab Tribal Matrix(tm), or TIATM(tm)." In order to distinguish between sub-tribes of the same name, I created an alphabetized reference of all Iraqi Arab subtribes. This is known as "The Iraqi Arab Sub-Tribal Index(tm) or TIASTI(tm)." TIATM(tm) and TIASTI(tm) are available in my book, "The Iraqi Arab Tribal System - A Reference for Social Scientists, Analysts, and Tribal Engagement."

Your research will prove to be the Gold Standard for years to come in defining the Iraqi Arab Tribal System.
